Tutoring CHS Students
In-House
Out-of-House
**Please read ALL of the bullet points above. The rollover hours (like tutoring becoming In-House hours) helps with the information below
- Helping with homework or building understanding with existing topics
- 2:45 - 4:45 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Media Center
- 12:00 - 12:30 PM on specific days in designated classrooms
- Extra tutoring in a given semester rolls into In-House
In-House
- Volunteering that is organized by and benefits the CHS community
- This can be concessions, concerts, speech & debate, etc.
- Your In-House hours must come from a minimum of two different events
- Extra In-House hours in a given semester roll into Out-of-House
Out-of-House
- Volunteering that is organized outside of CHS
- Extra Out-of-House hours do not roll into another category

Hour Requirements | 2023-2024
All NHS members are required to log 14 volunteer hours between September of 2023 and May of 2024.
- FALL semester requirements (7 hours in total)
- 3 HOURS | Tutoring
- 3 HOURS | In-House
- 1 HOUR | Out-of-House
- SPRING semester requirements (7 hours in total)
- 3 HOURS | Tutoring
- 3 HOURS | In-House
- 1 HOUR | Out-of-House

When do my hours need to be done?
SENIORS
JUNIORS:
- All hours must be completed by Friday May 3
- Hours done on time in order to receive a cord at graduation and the NHS seal on their diploma
JUNIORS:
- All hours must be completed by Friday May 31
- Juniors that would like to run for office must be on track to complete their hours by Friday May 3
- Juniors that do not complete this year's hours will have them added on to next year's required hours
